Luxury liners such as those of Holland America Line and Princess Cruises offer casinos, wonderful theatrical shows, swimming pools, spas, bars, activities and unlimited entertainment for the entire family. The smaller luxury liners like Radisson Seven Seas offer a more personalized service often featuring local entertainment, gourmet cuisine, discussions by naturalist guides, libraries and serenity.

Expedition ships are sturdy, smaller ships that ply unique waters, offering in-depth educational opportunities for all aboard. Amenities can be a bit mo limited, but there are some that offer five star service in les explored areas.

Yachts are a sporty way to experience island destinations. If you yearn to learn sailing, you can hire a yacht with captain who will gladly share his knowledge of the seas with you and teach you the "ropes." Of, if you are an experienced sailor, we can help you charter a yacht in the Caribbean, Fiji, Greece, or the Adriatic.

Barges ply rivers and canals in many areas of Great Britain and Europe. Small groups enjoy the slower pace, viewing many villages off the beaten path. Cooking classes and special interest options are available. Biking alongside the barge gives great exercise as you follow along with the boat. This is a perfect casual and slow-paced option for families and friends.

Paddle wheelers offer a bit of nostalgia. Some feature casinos, shows and old time music. Follow the history of the Mississipi River as you visit those wonderful ports settled in the late 1700's and early 1800's.

Coastal lines can be a fabulous way to experience the every day transfer of goods, mail, food, etc., and gives one insight into the daily lives of those living in remote areas. Often, these glorified ferry lines are the limited contact points for the local population. The Norwegian coastal voyage is one we highly recommend where amazing scenery abounds.

Kayaking in Alaska, Canada, or Baja is quite enjoyable and a good way to keep fit. This type of travel is often combined with camping or done as a tour option.
